"You're alive. Do something. Look. Listen. Choose. Act." Barbara Hall
There's no doubt that fate had a hand in delivering this quote to me this morning. Time for the pity party to be over. Time to suck it up, get past it, and move on with my life. Time to be thankful for the life God has given me. Time to be proactive in creating my future. Time to consider my choices carefully. Time to make the best decision I can. Time to act on that decision without self-doubt or fear.
Life is the ultimate gift---it is truly all we have. Everything else can be taken away in an instant. Yet as long as we're alive, we have cause to celebrate.
Even with a heavy heart, I realize the importance of these directives. A broken heart doesn't kill you, even though it feels like it is. So thank God I'm alive. Thank God I have the ability to feel the good and the bad. Thank God for giving me choices, intelligence to weigh them, and courage to act on them.

I hope these feelings of thanks stay with you Queenie. It is nice to read such positive words.
It might be helpful for you to write down all the things you are thankful for, all the things in life that make life special, and the things around you that make you smile and make you feel good. These words that you write down may only appear to be words to others, but they'll bring up images and good feelings every time you look at them, even if you have to or want to dwell on, dream about, or go looking for any one when you need a little "escape" or reminder.
