Take me away to a land where no one feels
where happy and sad aren't for real.
Take me to the place where no one knows my name
where I can be who I want on any given day.
Take me far away where strangers are all I see
where I can run away and escape and hide the real me.
Take me to a mountaintop up high in the sky
where I can erase the memories and all of the lies.
Take me to the valleys where the earth lies low
where I can forget who I was, where nobody knows.
Take me anywhere where I haven't been
where my heart can heal, where I can forget him.

Maybe you do need a new, different escape place to go...someplace that you can call your retreat. Even if you can't go far or for very long, maybe a place that makes you feel good that you haven't been to in awhile or someplace within a reasonable, reachable distance that you feel you could be comfortable to do some thinking, maybe find different things to look at and be distracted by, or maybe to be with someone who you consider good company that you can talk to or not talk to at all, but will get the little break(s) you need.
