Life goes on
It has a funny way, a mind of its own
It moves ahead at lightening speed
Without a care if we come along.
We put off till tomorrow
What we should do today
Tempting fate that God
Will give us another day.
We think there will be time
To do the things we want
To say those things we need to say
Without the promise of another day.
If it ended right now
Could you hold your head up high
Would you regret what you didn’t do
Or leave this world with a satisfied sigh.

I'm not sure many people could say that they were satisfied when they left this world at least on short notice
Thanks Faith.
I agree---that's why what we do today is so important....tomorrow isn't a guarantee.
Great reminder of how fleeting time is...and how important it is to make the most of each day!
With all the death my family has experienced in the last year or so, I would have thought I would have learned. I must have a hard head! Thanks for the reminder to live life now and not hope for a tomorrow that may not come.
A man once put his hand in a bucket of water. As time went on he never removed his hand. On the 68th year of his doing this the man passed away and his hand fell out of that bucket. Every one was in shock as they ran to look in the bucket. Except for a few drops of water missing the water had no hole in it where his hand had been.
Deep and profound - and I have no clue what you said.....
It's a story of a person that doesn't make waves, take chances or goes with the feeling. It's about some one that is scared to make a decision or to go through the door first. Don't become the drips of water, be the splasher and empty that bucket. Touch people let go of the ladder and climb on the roof. Let a person know how you feel and feel about them. Babies fall all the time, if we learn from them about getting up again, this world would be a better place. (lol that was the simple explanation.)
Love makes the world go round.
Now I understand.....I agree - love does make the world go round
Thanks!
YW OBTW I loved your post.
Oh, queenie, this is excellent! Oh, how it gets us to think. I often find myself thinking exactly this way, but then forget and go back to putting things off or wasting my time worrying about yesterday. How often I waste the day I have over thoughts that don't make the day go by without me having to say that I've just cheated myself out of another day. We all have to grab today like it's the best day ever and live it as no other day has been lived so, hopefully, it will be the best last day it can be if there are no more to follow.
