Getting to Know You

Welcome to the 2008 edition of getting to know your friends. Change all the answers so they apply to you, and then send this to your friends including the person who sent it to you. The theory is that you will learn a lot of little things about your friends that you might not have known!

1. What time did you get up this morning? 6 am

2. Diamonds or pearls? pearls

3. What was the last film you saw at the cinema? The Heartbreak Kid  (horrible!)

4. What is your favorite TV show? don't watch tv

5. What do you usually have for breakfast? coffee

6. What is your middle name? we'll stick to Queenie for first, middle, and last

7. What food do you dislike? none really

8. What is your favorite CD at moment? Kenny Chesney  (listen to my Ipod mostly -- very eclectic)

9. What kind of car do you drive? Buick Rendevous

10. Favorite sandwich? Grilled cheese

11. What characteristics do you despise? meanness

12. Favorite item of clothing? sundresses and flip flops

13. If you could go anywhere in the world, on vacation, where would you go? Never dreamed that far----maybe when I have someone to go with...

14. Favorite brand of clothing? not choosy

15. Where would you retire to? Can't imagine living anywhere but Texas

16. What was your most recent memorable birthday? this past one - three men in my life and not a single gift or flower

17. Favorite sport to watch? in person---kids' sports; on tv---none

18. Furthest place you are sending this? Well, it's in cyberspace, so I guess Mars? (ditto donna)

19. Person you expect to send it back first? someone in blogsterville (that's the only place it's going, so chances are pretty good on that one!)

20. When is your birthday? October 9

21. Are you a morning person or a night person? Morning for responsibilities; night for fun

22. What is your shoe size? 7

23. Any new and exciting news you'd like to share with us? My daughter did awesome at softball last night!  I woke up this morning and the world is still turning.

24. What did you want to be when you were little? Teacher---and still have that dream 

 

 

25. What is your favorite candy? snickers, sweettarts, peppermint

26. What is your favorite flower? white rose; lily

27. What is a day on the calendar you are looking forward to? six weeks from now---a personal goal I've set

28. What is your full name? we'll stick to Queenie

29. What are you listening to right now? Oldies on the radio

30. What was the last thing you ate? chocolate chip cookie

31. Do you wish on stars? no---but I love to gaze at them

32. If you were a crayon, what color would you be? pink

33. How is the weather right now? cloudy, windy, and cool

34. Last person you spoke to on the phone? ex-hubby

35. Favorite soft drink? Coke

36. Favorite restaurant? Food's not a biggie with me

37. Hair color? Very dark brunette---hairdresser keeps the natural "highlights" at bay

38 What was your favorite toy as a child? not sure I ever was a child

40. Chocolate or Vanilla? Chocolate

41. Coffee or Tea? Coffee first thing in morning, iced tea after that

42. Do you want your friends to email you back? You bet!  I hope others will do this. (ditto donna)

43. The last time you cried? 30 minutes ago

44. What is under your bed? daughter's school keepsake box; table leaf; cat probably

45. What did you do last night? watched daughter's softball game and went to eat with her father afterwards (awkward, but she enjoyed it)

46. What are you afraid of? pretty much everything

47. Salty or Sweet? both

48. How many keys on your key ring? 7

49. How many years at your current job? 4

50. Favorite day of the week? none in particular

51. How many towns have you lived in? 3

52. How many people will you send this to? Hundreds, thousands, maybe millions.  How many will see it?  I haven't a clue. (ditto donna again)

    Well, I just read your answers...and I'm so happy about your daughter's game!  You must have been so proud!  (Aw, heck, you must STILL be proud!)

    I'm sorry I'm only getting around to commenting on this now...I am still trying to catch up!  Will I ever get there?  Listen, you may not ever picture yourself living anywhere else than Texas, but know that you are welcome to visit Rhode Island at any time.  Who knows, it could happen!  And, that would be really nice!

    I haven't traveled much, but if I ever find anyone to travel with, I would like to visit many places in the U.S.  Rhode Island will be on my list!
