As I lay me down to sleep
I pray the Lord my soul to keep
Take the pain from my heart
Take the thoughts from my head
Take the feelings I don't understand
Take all of me to another land.
Leave me here to do what I must
Take care of my children and those I trust
Show me the motions, show me the way
To be an example, someone to look up to
Allow me to teach what little I know
May they learn from my guidance, wisdom, and love.
